Survey for proposed business to help writers/other artists

Dear Writers,

I'm working on a business plan as part of my graduate studies at UW-Madison (I'm getting an MBA in Arts Administration. See brief bio at the end of this e-mail). The plan is for an artist service organization in Madison. And by “artist” I mean anyone who participates in artistic endeavors such as writers, musicians, visual artists, actors, dancers, etc. To help get some ideas about what artists in the area want or need, I've put together a brief survey: https://buswisc.qualtrics.com/SE?SID=SV_3lPZUW2oDOcLjHS&SVID=

I was wondering if you wouldn't mind filling it out?

This survey is different from the ones you may have seen from the Madison Arts Commission. The focus here is on the needs of working artists (or artists who would like to be working!) from all disciplines. I'm looking for input from people at all different stages in their careers and varying levels of interest in creating, performing, and/or sharing their work. I have a number of ideas already for services, but I want to hear from you about what you need to be successful. This is your chance to have someone respond to your statements that start with, "Someone should do something about..."

If you have any friends, family, or associates who may be interested in filling out the survey, please pass it along! It's open to anyone who identifies with being an artist. The more people who take it, the better the chances of providing relevant and meaningful services.
