Under the direction of the Director of Media Relations, the Senior Media Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining contacts within institution for the purposes of staying abreast of news developments, research, clinical procedures, educational directions and other identified areas that may be crucial to building media interest in the organization. 2. Communications, Web Specialist, Wisconsin Medical Society
The Society’s Communications/Web Specialist is primarily responsible for website content management and optimization, social media strategies and implementation, and other electronic communication strategies including delivery of weekly membership professional publications and our esteemed on-line Wisconsin Medical Journal. This position works together with our professional Communications team in the accomplishment of electronic communications strategies, including:
* Develops website content (concepts, writing, editing and proofing copy)
* Writes, edits and proofs copy for Society website and social media sites as well as newsletters, press releases, letters and marketing collateral as needed
* Completes web site updates
* Codes and sends e-mail communications including Society’s weekly publication, surveys and marketing communications.
