SmokeFree Wisconsin is a single-issue organization whose mission is to promote effective tobacco control policies that will protect nonsmokers from secondhand smoke; prevent the initiation of smoking, especially among children; and ensure that there is a well-funded, comprehensive and effective statewide tobacco prevention program.
The Communications Specialist will manage and implement SmokeFree Wisconsin's communications plan, which encompasses traditional and online media, social networks, and other communications to supporters. The specialist will support the Wisconsin tobacco control community on communicating support for statewide and local policy education campaigns.

Web Site & Marketing Coordinator: Madison Magazine is searching for an energetic, multitalented person to fill our Web Site & Marketing Coordinator position. This position will help develop, produce, and manage the magazine’s web site, taking primary responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and operation of the site. Responsibilities also include assisting in the marketing needs of the magazine, including support of advertisements, newsletters, sales promotional materials, fliers, presentations, etc. This position will also serve as assistant to the producer for special events such as the Madison Food & Wine Show, Best of Madison, Restaurant Week, and other magazine-sponsored exhibits and events. The successful candidate will possess graphic design skills, and experience with a MAC-based production suite, including PhotoShop, Quark, and Illustrator. Must be highly organized multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced, creative work environment.

Web Site Community Editor: WISC-TV is launching a new website initiative with our award-winning website, Channel3000.com, and is developing “micro-sites” highlighting the local communities in our viewing area. We are aggressively searching for a Community Editor to take an active role in developing relationships with the leaders in each of our local communities and providing interesting content for each of the sites. The primary duties include content oversight, ensuring that the sites are populated with fresh and interesting news, entertainment, and informational content; responsibility for communications with community leaders such as mayors, council and school board members, city clerks, school principals and other “players.” It also includes finding community citizens and “correspondents” interested in contributing to the site on an ad-hoc basis. Additionally, this person is a newsroom advocate, keeping in touch with TV/Magazine/Web management and staff to make sure they are communicating about what they see and hear about various communities. Candidates will possess a four-year college degree, preferably with emphasis in Journalism or Communications. Basic knowledge of HTML required as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong graphics and computer skills desired and familiarity with word processing software, image editing software such as PhotoShop, PowerPoint, and Flash.
